Information on battery regulation

Batteries are supplied with many devices. Batteries or rechargeable batteries can also be permanently installed in the devices themselves. In the context of the distribution of these batteries or rechargeable batteries, we are obligated as a dealer in accordance with the Battery Ordinance to inform our customers of the following: Please dispose old batteries, as prescribed by the lawmaker - the disposal in the household waste is strictly prohibited according to the battery ordinance - at a municipal collection point or hand them free in the trade on the spot. Batteries you have got from us can be returned free of charge after use to the address below.

Batteries containing harmful substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed out garbage can. Under the garbage can symbol is the chemical name of the pollutant - e.g. "Cd" for cadmium. "Pb" for lead or "Hg" for mercury. You can also find these instructions in the accompanying papers of the manufacturer or in the operating instructions of the manufacturer.

Further information on the battery regulation can be found at the Bundesministerium für Umwelt, Naturschutz und Reaktorsicherheit or by downloading the Batterieverordnung im PDF Format.
